At the Rotary Club of Fort Bonifacio Global City, we believe education is a powerful tool for creating lasting change.

How We Make Help Happen: Our Impact on Education

RCFBGC champions education through a comprehensive approach. By collaborating with schools and educational organizations, we aim to provide young learners with a strong foundation and equal access to quality learning experiences. These efforts have positively impacted hundreds of students and educators, paving the way for individual success and community advancement.

RCFBGC makes amazing things happen, like:

  • Educational Programs & Resources
    • Mobile Library Project

The “Mobile Library” project is a collaborative literacy initiative by RCFBGC, Rotaract Club of Makati United, and Rotaract Club of Tanauan. Spearheaded by Immediate Past President Jan Emil Langomez and Past President Kendrick Go, this flagship project focuses on sorting and donating books to schools in Metro Manila and the provinces. The project thrives on the collective effort of volunteers, generous donations like encyclopedias from Past President Joan Carig, and the leadership of MIP Rachel “Verns” Fajardo and Chair Will Parrone. With a mission to promote reading, foster curiosity, and inspire lifelong learning, the Mobile Library brings access to literature and empowers communities with the transformative power of education.

    • Adopt A School: Rotary Public School Partnership Program

The club’s “Adopt A School” project exemplifies the organization’s commitment to education and community development. In the 2018-2019 Rotary year, this initiative focused on supporting Ananias Laico Memorial Elementary School (ALMES) in Magdalena, Laguna. This collaborative effort, part of the Rotary Public School Partnership Program, aligned with the Governor’s thrust for that year. The project not only provided much-needed support to the school but also fostered a connection between Rotary members and the local community, encouraging hands-on involvement in educational initiatives.

    • Summer Daycare Class

The club’s “Summer Daycare Class” initiative was a cornerstone of children’s development efforts from 2013 to 2017, providing educational and nutritional support to young children in Taguig City. This annual program, typically running from late March to early May, served over 50 children aged 4-6 years old in various barangays including Sta. Ana, Tuktukan, and Napindan. The initiative combined educational activities with a feeding program, supported by DSWD workers, volunteer teachers, and generous donations from Rotary members and the community. Each year, the program culminated in a recognition day, where children received certificates of attendance, celebrating their participation and growth.

  • Youth Development & Community Outreach
    • Rotary’s PSA Festival 2022: Celebrating Youth Perspectives & Social Impact

The club played a leading role in the success of the Rotary PSA Festival 2022, held at Colegio de San Juan de Letran in Intramuros, Manila, on December 17, 2022. As co-leads alongside the Rotary Club of Circuit Makati, RCFBGC celebrated the creativity and advocacy of the youth, who used various media forms to express their perspectives on Rotary’s Seven Areas of Focus and global issues. The festival provided an empowering platform for the youth, fostering community engagement, creativity, and social impact, while championing diversity, equity, and inclusion.

    • Ukulele Kids

The “Ukulele Kids,” through a heartwarming initiative supported by a District Grant since 2022, showcases the transformative power of music. Recently, club members were treated to a performance by these young musicians, demonstrating the remarkable progress of nurtured talent. This successful initiative not only develops musical skills but also builds confidence and creates joyful experiences for the children involved, exemplifying Rotary’s commitment to youth development and the lasting impact of community-driven educational projects.

    • Books & Toys for the Mangyan Children (BTMC) Project

In 2017, RCFBGC was one of the partners of the Rotaract Club of Fort Bonifacio Global City for the groundbreaking #BTMC (Books and Toys for Mangyan Children) project. This collaborative effort in Gloria, Occidental Mindoro, reached 20 families and 70 Mangyan children, marking the beginning of our sustainable initiative to promote literacy and community growth among the Tau-buid Mangyan Community. The success of this impactful project opened doors for potential expansion and further support for Mangyan communities through education and resources.

How Rotary Makes Help Happen

We educate and equip communitites to stop the spread of life-threatening diseases. Rotary members have hundreds of health projects underway around the world at any given time.

Our Impact on Disease

The Rotary Club of Fort Bonifacio Global City Foundation is changing the world by providing grants for projects and activities around the globe and in your own backyard.

Rotary makes amazing things happen, like:

Providing clean water: Rotary has worked with partners to provide more than 80 percent of Ghana’s people with clean water to fight Guinea worm disease.

Reducing HIV infection: In Liberia, Rotary members are helping women get tested for HIV early in their pregnancies. They used prenatal care to reduce new HIV infections in children by 95 percent over two years.

Ending polio: Rotary members have played a key role in bringing the world to the brink of polio eradication. Their efforts have not only ended polio in 122 countries but also created a system for tackling myriad other health priorities, such as Ebola.
