How We Make Help Happen: Our Impact on Peace-Building

RCFBGC peace and community-building initiatives focus on creating inclusive spaces that encourage understanding, collaboration, and conflict resolution. By engaging communities in meaningful dialogues and collaborative projects, we help to strengthen social resilience and unity in the face of local challenges.

RCFBGC makes amazing things happen, like:

  • Conflict Resolution & Peace-Building
    • Gawad AKAP: Commitment to Peace-Building in the Philippines

The Gawad AKAP (Gawad Alay sa Kapayapaan) initiative, launched by RCFBGC, stands as a significant contribution to peace-building efforts in the Philippines. Featured in the May 2019 issue of Philippine Rotary Magazine, this program recognizes individuals and organizations making substantial contributions to peace processes in the country. Launched on September 24, 2018, at the Magsaysay Center in Manila, Gawad AKAP serves as both an awards platform and a public education tool, highlighting progress in peace negotiations with insurgent groups. The initiative, involving 52 Rotary clubs in District 3830, embodies Rotary’s commitment to conflict resolution and peace-building at both local and national levels.

  • Community Enrichment & Values Promotion
    • HAPPY BARANGAY: Four-Way Test Marker Installation

The club’s “Happy Barangay” project in Brgy. Sta. Ana, Taguig City on October 25, 2014, centered around the installation of a 4-Way Test Marker. This initiative combined Rotary’s ethical guidelines promotion with a children’s party, bringing together local businesses, government officials, and community members. The event exemplified RCFBGC’s commitment to community enrichment by blending values education with joyful engagement, fostering unity and celebration among residents.
