Across the Philippines, the challenge of building sustainable local economies persists.
At the Rotary Club of Fort Bonifacio Global City, we are dedicated to empowering communities by strengthening local economies to help create sustainable, thriving communities.
How We Make Help Happen: Our Impact on Local Economies
RCFBGC supports local economic growth through various community initiatives. Our projects aim to enhance livelihoods, promote entrepreneurship, and foster self-sufficiency in communities across the Philippines.
RCFBGC makes amazing things happen, like:
- Community-Based Economic Support
- Community Pantry w/ RC Metro San Pedro
- Community Pantry w/ RC Metro San Pedro
On July 10, 2021, the club collaborated with the Rotary Club of Metro San Pedro and various organizations to launch a Community Pantry project in San Pedro City. This initiative provided essential food items to 345 families from six different barangays, focusing on indigent individuals, people with disabilities, and senior citizens. The project not only addressed immediate needs during the pandemic but also promoted environmental sustainability by encouraging the use of reusable bags.

- Bamboo for Environment & Livelihood
- Bamboo for Environment & Livelihood
The BIG PH project promotes sustainable economic growth and environmental conservation by planting approximately 300,000 bamboo propagules across key locations, including Rizal, Antipolo, and Bataan. This initiative creates livelihoods for indigenous communities while mitigating climate change. In collaboration with DDC Land, the project integrates eco-innovations like recycling over 14 million plastic bottles into housing materials and installing solar panels in eco-friendly homes. These efforts highlight a transformative approach to environmental sustainability and community empowerment, embodying a shared vision for a greener, more resilient future.
